Park in the centre of Warsaw named after baths or “lazienki” in Polish once located here. In the 17th century park was designed in Baroque style by the order of the court marshal Stanislaw Lubomirsli. Stanislaw II August bought it in 1764, after he was elected as the King of Poland. He developed it into charming park-and-palace complex.
