Henry VIII took the Hampton Court Palace in 1529 with its three parks which today make up the Royal Bushy Park. Passionate hunter he developed here grounds for deer. His successors added more picturesque items as the Longford River with bridges. Famous Chestnut Avenue and the beautiful fountain "Diana" were designed by the grand architect Christopher Wren.
